Ok then.... 14th out of 2247 in the Blogger Tournament

I just played over 4 hours in PokerStars' World Blogger Championship of Online Poker.

And finished 14th... much to my surprise. Here is the Pokerstars' live blog post of the event.

Let it be known that NOT really wanting to win any seat outright is not good when you are third in chips with 20 left!

I ended up playing 2 drawing hands that I didn't have to play that didn't catch anything and my the final hand, with enough chips to still be in contention for the final table, I just went allin at the turn on a 8 outer flush draw on the river that missed.

It was both freeing to not have any strong need to finish as high as possible and a connundrum. I was playing for the competition and simply wanted to compare my play against the blogger community. In the end, I finished really weak since I had chips but didn't know what I should play for!

My prize? Entrance into another tourny! The $370 seat in the PokerStars WSOP 150-Seat Guaranteed tournament on July 16th. NOW what should I do?

Technically, this is my biggest prize yet.

I go all-in pre-flop with the Hammer... twice... once when we were down to the final four tables with about 32 left... I take both hands without a call and showed. Here's the last one (note how few chips I had at that point, perfectly positioned to get the nano):

I tried really hard to position myself to finish between 21st and 40th. The prize being a 4GB ipod nano. With 40 left, I was well positioned in 31st place... then I over a stretch of about 20 hands, I double up, four time, to find myself 3rd...
